Today in the Christian tradition it is Candlemas Day; a time when candles are lit to celebrate the feast of The Presentation of Our Lord. People pass on the light of their candle to the other, and for a while everywhere is flooded with candlelight. For me the symbolic act is a simple gesture affirming my hope in a loving Creator, and praying that we let His Light grow in a loving communion with each other , so that we can really celebrate a world of peace and joy where all people are truly happy.
