I usually paint with acrylics as I enjoy the 'feel' but now and again I venture into the realms of watercolour and I realise that I am happy with this medium too. When working on an abstract painting I tend to use the paints loosely, rather like a 'colour drop' I suppose, and this brings in the elements of adventure and the unexpected,
so that the result is often surprising. It's one of the joys of painting, this journey into the unknown, giving the imagination free reign, and submerging oneself in the flow;-for me an experience that is perhaps closest to that deepest part of me!
